About Takhi

Inspired by resilience, committed to regeneration

Our Story

"Takhi," the Mongolian name for the Przewalski's horse, symbolizes resilience and renewal. This majestic wild horse, the last of its kind, was once thought to be lost forever, going extinct in the wild in the 1960s.

Yet, thanks to a remarkable collective effort involving international stakeholders and local communities, the Takhi has been successfully reintroduced to its native grasslands, now roaming freely across Mongolia once more.

Just as the Takhi's return symbolizes hope and resilience, we renew our commitment to work alongside local communities in the development of their homelands through tourism. We aspire to co-create thriving and healthy environments for biodiversity, wildlife, people, and culture through tourism.
